The Ajatuspaja e2 think tank was set up in Finland in 2006 to foster research and debate on ‘progressive and social liberal values' of contemporary society. e2's operational activities focus on Finland in the EU and the international community; promoting equal opportunities and preventing social exclusion; increasing political participation and local democracy; the drivers for social change and sustainable development. Based in Helsinki, e2 is a member of the network of European liberal think-tanks.
